Pano Logic is the leader in Zero Client Desktop Computing. Pano Logic’s all-in-one hardware and software solution redefines the delivery and management of end user computing by radically centralising desktop management. It is a complete end-to-end solution purpose-built for desktop virtualization.

Pano Logic Products

Pano Logic takes a different approach from many technology vendors. Instead of a confusing array of product models and difficult to remember configurations, model numbers and interdependencies Pano Logic has a single product that provides a complete solution – the Pano System. And inside the Pano System you get everything you need to deploy desktop virtualization on top of your existing network and either the VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms. The only choice you have to make is the colour – and even then you only need choose between black and silver Pano.

Pano System – A complete desktop virtualization solution

The Pano System includes everything you need to deploy virtual desktops on top of a VMware virtual infrastructure. In one package and for one price you get both our unique awardwinning zero client Pano Device and a unified management interface provided by Pano Manager that lets you easily deploy, monitor, and control your virtual desktops.

We’ve included all of the software components, protocols, and interfaces you’ll need – all of which can be installed with a single, wizard-based Windows installer in under an hour.

The Pano System includes:

The Pano Device – The heart of the Pano System and a whole new class of desktop computing hardware. Pano Devices are referred to as “zero clients” because; unlike traditional thin clients they have no CPU, no memory, no operating system, no drivers, no software, no moving parts, and it also conserves electricity, using as little as 3% of the energy consumed by even an EnergyStar certified desktop PC.

Pano Device is also stateless – in other words, it does not store anything at all about the user, the desktop virtual machine, or any data used by it. This provides both enhanced data security, since they never contain data that might be lost or stolen, and productivity benefits. It saves you time shutting down and booting up, and you can immediately resume work with the same set of open applications and files – for example when moving from your office to a conference room to make a presentation or when finishing up work at home in the evening.

The Pano Device connects over your local area network to Windows XP or 7 desktop virtual machines.

Pano Manager – Pano Logic’s centralised web-based management interface enables administrators to manage the entire virtual desktop deployment. Pano Logic handles the following:

  • Discovers and controls Pano Devices on the network
  • Controls the virtual infrastructure and makes sure desktop virtual machines are available
  • Connects users to their assigned virtual desktops
  • Monitors status of user sessions and takes corrective action when necessary

Pano Manager itself runs as a self-contained virtual machine on one of your data centre servers, simplifying deployment and further improving hardware utilisation.

Pano Direct Service (Pano DAS) – A lightweight service residing within each desktop virtual machine that extends the system bus across the network, linking peripherals attached to the Pano Device to the unmodified Windows drivers installed in the virtual machine operating system. Pano Direct Service is also a key component in supporting USB peripherals. When a USB peripheral such as a USB thumb drive is inserted into a Pano Device, Pano Desktop Service and the Pano Manager work in conjunction to enforce the defined usage policies. Pano Direct Service will allow the USB operation and connection into Windows only if the user is authorized for the particular device and operation.

Pano Remote – Anytime, Anywhere Access to Pano Virtual Desktops

Pano Remote allows Pano Device users to reach their Pano desktop virtual machine from a remote location over a wide-area-network like the Internet. Pano Remote lets users temporarily access their Pano virtual desktops when they are away from the office, whether working in the evening or when traveling by simply plugging a special secure USB key into any Microsoft Windows PC.

Pano Dual Monitor – Double Your Productivity with a Second Monitor

The Pano Dual Monitor adapter lets you easily attach a second LCD monitor, CRT or projector to any Pano Device. With this simple USB-based external video adapter, smaller than a pack of cards, you can provide double the display space for any Windows XP Pano System virtual desktop.

Pano Express – 50 seats of ready to run VDI

Pano Express provides a complete installation of the Pano System for 50 users – including 50 zero client Pano Devices and an optimally configured dual quad-core server with directattached RAID storage needed for 50 Windows virtual desktops.

Ten reasons to move to Pano Logic Zero Client

  1. Deploy Windows 7 without sending a technician into the field
  2. No more concerns over endpoint security – you have control
  3. Everything’s central – no endpoint management
  4. Utilise processing and storage more effectively
  5. No more concerns over theft – there’s nothing to steal
  6. Nothing for end users to break
  7. It is green – uses only 3% of the energy used by a PC
  8. TCO – Virtual Desktops can save £3000 over PCs in 3 years
  9. Put an end to costly PC replacement programs
  10. Get users up and running within hours
